Someone hacked my ID

Unless a main website or service has been hacked - like PSN, it's not a hack ok.

Phishing, NOT a hack

Social engineering, NOT a hack

Giving someone your LIVE ID to someone else and then losing your account,
NOT a hack

Using dodgy software or websites offering free points and what not, then losing your account, still
NOT a hack.

Signing up for various suspect websites using the same email address and password for LIVE. then losing your account. still
NOT a hack.

If EA was compromised and it held your Windows LIVE ID, this is technically a hack, but it's EA that would have been hacked, not Xbox LIVE. When I say 'hack' I mean a real, sophisticated website or server attack. A hack in the literal sense of the word.

Well first off, your account was probably not "hacked". Did you recently give your Windows LIVE ID away to someone?

It doesn't take 9 complaints or 100 complaints to get someone banned. All it takes is for 1 VALID complaint for someone to get banned. It's easy to say that the complaint system sucks when it doesn't work the way you think it should. From my experiences,
MS takes every complaint and investigates fully. If they find that person breaking the rules, they get a ban, if they don't, they won't. I would much rather the guilty go ban free, than the innocent get banned.

No one gets their account hacked from XBL, its from giving out your Live ID. Even people who get DoS'ed don't get their Live ID's hacked. If someone says that they'll hack them, they are full of it. If you gave them your Live ID email and password, guess
what they don't need to hack you. They got everything they need to log in!

Also you will not get a ban for quick fire controllers as there are licensed controllers out there that has that built into it.

It's still not a 'hack'. If someone guessed your Windows Live ID, then you must have had a realy weak password, also NEVER give anyone the email address of your Live ID!!

You will need to call support to get this fixed, but can take several weeks.

You got hacked because someone got ahold of your windows live ID and gamertag, not because you put your credit card on xbox. I've had my credit card stored on there for years and never had an issue. Don't give out your information.
