Someone botted my account

Hi guys, I recently reported on here that someone botted my account by 7000+ followers, this has then been sorted as they were removed like my followers went back to normal but now looked again today and it’s at 10,000 again (I have 2450 legit followers).

What’s happened? Why have the bots been added back? I don’t wanna get banned or something can someone please assist?

There are things online that we cannot control like who’s following us. I don’t think the enforcement team will ban you just because there are lots of questionable followers you got in a certain period of time. They must have taken this into consideration.

We can't really control who's going to follow us on our accounts. You shouldn't be held liable for that even if those are fake followers as long as you didn't do it. The Xbox Enforcement team investigate any activity or report and take it into consideration when making an enforcement decision.

Hi Rostom,

I understand that the enforcement team may or should be aware of this type of activity but is there no way I can private my account? Stop random bots from adding me as 7000+ is an excessive amount to just live with?

If you didn't do something against Microsoft Services Agreement and the Xbox community standards, there's nothing you need to worry about and it would be unlikely for you to get banned as it's not your intention to do so.

You might want to consider configuring your privacy settings https://account.xbox.com/Settings to limit the followers.
