Someone already has EA Play (without subscription) - anyone else?

Has anyone else used your console? If someone else has your console set as their Home and they have Gold, you would be able access their Gold and play online.

There are also some free-to-play games that can be played without Gold.

A subscription has always been required to play online on console with the exception of free to play games. If you were able to play online without purchasing a subscription on your account before, then that means someone else had your console as their Home console and you were using their subscription.

Core has always been needed to play it online. If you were able to play it before without Core/Ultimate, then it's possible someone else had your console set as their Home which was allowing you to share their subscription. If they moved their Home or lost their subscription, you would no longer be able to play online.

Hello Tadis, you don't need to cancel your EA PLay, the Game Pass Ultimate subscription already has EA play, if you already have EA in your Microsoft account, you can purchase the Game Pass Ultimate subscription from the same account, which will keep your progress and data you already have from EA.

The numbers are given if you choose a gamertag that someone else already has. If you want a tag without numbers, you'll have to change your gamertag to something nobody else has.
