    Some Xbox discs won't work and i have no idea why


    I've been having this issue recently where in the span of a week my xbox one has stopped reading 2 of my games that are on a disc. The first one was an xbox one game that I didn't really care about, but now its happened to an xbox 360 game that i actually care about. (and before you ask, it is on the backwards compatibility list) When i put in this disc, it just acts as if theres no game disc inserted and i have absolutely no idea why. Any Tips would be appreciated because i can not live with this game,

    Playing Atari Anthology on xbox 360 kinect

    I tried the atari anthology disc on another xbox 30 purchased in 2003/2004 and it worked. I have an xbo 360 kinect purchased in 2010 any ideas on why it won't play on my xbox?

    L4D2 (Left 4 Dead 2) isn't working disk wise for Xbox One. I don't understand why though.

    Yes, I have tried other Xbox-360 discs but for some reason this one won't work.

    Yer iv tried everything. I have noticed that the xbox service is saying that backwards compatibility having work done. But I don't know why the disc won't work. It won't let me play warzone either.

    Hi,

    You've said you've tried blu-ray discs and Xbox One discs but have you tried DVD discs?

    Xbox 360 games are on DVD and my guess is that DVD won't play either.

    The reason why they won't play is that DVD diode for reading these discs has failed. Other discs work because that laser diode is still working.

    Try a DVD disc. If it does not work you'll need a repair.
