Have you tried another controller to see if the issue still exists? Also have you ever had this working previously?

There may be a issue with the software via the iPhone and the controller.

You could try to reach out to apple support to see if they have any known issues for this.

Important note: You must register your Xbox One console to replace a wireless controller that’s under warranty.
