Some Kinect voice commands not working in Netflix

It seems this is mostly limited to the Xbox Select command. When logging into a profile I used to be able to say "Xbox Select" and it would show Profile 1, Profile 2, etc... under each profile. Then I could announce the profile a I want and it would login.
It no longer displays the profile names and even if I announce the profile I want nothing happens. When logged into Netflix saying "Xbox Select" would bring up the navigation options such as "Next List, Previous List,etc... These no longer display on the screen
when making the Xbox Select command. Announcing the commands of Next List, Previous list, etc... does nothing as well.

Commands such as Xbox Pause, Xbox volume up continue to function.

So far I have reset by powering completely off. Logged out of Netflix and logged back in and completely uninstalled Netflix and reinstalled. Nothing has helped.

Netflix New Update?

I just noticed Kinect voice commands dont work with this version as of right now. Hopefully that gets updated soon. Im so used to navigating Netflix's layout with my voice lol.

 

Anniversary update broke the Netflix voice commands

The Netflix voice commands are not working in Netflix since the update. Voice works everywhere else. This isn't the first time an update has done this to Netflix on my system. Is anyone using voice successfully in Netflix since the update?

 

I too have this issue and have performed similar troubleshooting steps.

 

Did your issues just start recently? I'm trying to determine if this was caused by an update but so far it doesn't seem that's the case.

First thing I noticed is when I would say "Xbox Select" the selection guides would no longer appear under the choices. These are the things that would say "profile 1, profile 2, or select 1, select 2". However saying the selection would still work. I could
still choose a profile or a viewing selection. Sometime last week it all stopped working. It is still recognizing my voice. When I say "Xbox Select" it appears in the upper right corner but announcing the selection does nothing.

Not happy to have been sold on Kinect for voice commands that were working nicely but now have to get the controller out when making a viewing selection.

 

Have to agree with everybody here it's just started happening for me to and I have to reiterate I feel the same way I got the connect and I don't use gestures but I use voice commands all the time if I have to stand here in front of the Xbox with a controller

Same exact thing.

At first the commands stopped showing up but would still work. Two days ago they stopped working altogether. I can still use "Xbox Pause" (and play and stop), but the Netflix-specific commands are gone.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted the system (including unplugging it)...no change. Sucks.

 

I am having the same issue and am very unhappy about it. Anyone figures out a solution please post !

 

Having the exact same problem here for close to a week now. Xbox Play/Pause works fine if I've already got something selected or playing but none of the "Xbox Select" commands to navigate around will work. It's just Netflix too, Hulu works fine.

Suuuper frustrating because A) it went from working fine to having this issue in the same day and B) having a newborn to take care of means I usually don't have any free hands to use the remote and I've really been relying on the voice commands

 

I am having the exact same trouble, being a Quadriplegic I have no use of my hands to operate a controller to even get past the profile screen. No since having voice commands if you can't get to the apps you desire. All other apps work fine. Just seems to
be Netflix. Mine started February 28, on February 29 no access.

 

Same issue here. Was able to use "Xbox Select" for navigation for as long as I can remember, and then sometime around March 1st it just stopped working. This sucks!

 

Im using a 360 and its completely dead. It used to come up with the voice menus after saying xbox..Now it doesnt do anything. i have to use a controller to do everything
