Some games refusing to acknowledge my Xbox Live connection. (Charlie Murder, Bastion)

See topic. Slightly different results, but every game I own runs and plays fine, uses all it's online features flawlessly, I have no connection issues, there are no problems with any normal usage.

However, upon signing into the new charlie murder game given away today, I find that it claims I am not connected to Xbox Live. Cannot register scores to leaderboards, cannot host a game for friends to join, cannot join a friends game.

Yet clearly I am logged into xbox live, parties function, and any other games I attempt to play successfully play online. (The also just-given away title Street Fighter 4 works flawlessly, for instance.)

Bastion works slightly differently.

A while back, I bought Bastion on a 1 day sale (Along with Dust, but that's moot). I played through it entirely, without noticing problems, then after winning, proceeded to attempt to check leaderboards and see how I stacked up to my friends. It claimed
I was not logged into xbox live, despite having been so. Exiting and re-entering the game produces the same result, if I wait a bit before attempting to check them. If I attempt to check them as SOON as I can get to the menu, it VERY briefly loads the boards
for a second... second and a half, then boots me to my dashboard. No warnings or error messages.

Can anyone resolve these issues for me, as they are impeding my enjoyment of the titles I've purchased. Nor have these issues been intermittent, Bastion has continually exhibited it's problem for months.

Charlie Murder and Super Street Fighter 4...

Downloaded both and I plan to play some SSFIV with my friend soon. I heard of Charlie Murder, but never played it. Grabbed it anyways.

 

i think the Bastion thingy happened to me on halo spartan assault.

does it work when you disconnect your xbox from live and then start the game?

I have to dig a different flash drive back out for bastion, I'll check it shortly. Deleting my savegame just in case (I don't use cloud saves) did not solve my charlie murder problem. However, after entering the game, signing out, then signing back in, it
appears to recognize my connection. I'm not sure if it will continue to, but this is an extremely bizarre bug, that microsoft needs to address. Having to sign out and back in every time I need to play a game would be... beyond problematic.

 

I saw this problem before a while back and it turned out to be a problem caused by saving to the flash drive. Is there no space on your XBox?

 

Placing them on the Microsoft brand 250 gig hard drive had the same issue. It was on a flash drive on the theory that there might be a problem with the hard drive. Neither functions.

Update on charlie murder, if I quit the game, I DO have to disconnect and reconnect from live when I come back to the game, or it refuses to acknowledge my connection again.

Bastion reacts in the same way, running off the hard drive. Same issue. If I try to view leaderboards, it either boots me to dashboard, or says I'm not connected. Entering the game, signing out of my profile, then signing BACK into my progile allows it to
recognize my connection. And it requires this each time the game is booted.

 

So all i do is load game then sign out and sign in and the xbox live features will work ?, cause i wanna play co-op today.

 

Loading game then signing out and back in then selecting drive works thanks for the help people i can now play co-op.

 

While this makes for an acceptable, barely, workaround, I'd still like to see a solution to prevent one from NEEDING this workaround. Having to log out and back in everytime I want to play a game does not seem reasonable for a long term solution, though
it does allow me to play for now.
