Some games having network issues while others don't.

I have owned my Xbox One S for four years now and I have experienced issues like this quite a few times and they would just go away, but this one is by far the most extreme one and has been going on the longest.

Some games (EG: Sea Of Thieves, Fortnite, Overwatch, ECT.) are experiencing extreme network issues I have never seen anything like before, ping in the thousands and/or disconnecting from the game or Xbox Live. This only happens when I use certain games like the ones mentioned earlier. Other online games (EG: War Thunder, Minecraft, ECT.) are completely unaffected. This is strange as sometimes I disconnect from Xbox Live as a whole but that only happens when I use those certain games.

I have power-cycled my Xbox One S

I have performed a hard reset for my Xbox One S

I have reset my router

I have reset my router with help from my ISP

I have run a wire test with my ISP

I have tried using a wired connection

I am an Xbox Insider

My router model is a BT Hub 6 and my ISP is BT. BT says there are no known issues with the network in my area and the wire test results showed our connection wasn't only working as intended, but better. I haven't had a BT engineer round yet, so as far as I know, there are no problems with the wires in my house. When I restart my router, the problems go away but only for a couple hours before returning, restarting and hard resetting my console has no effect. When using a wired connection, the games no longer lag but they still disconnect from time to time. I have been an Xbox Insider for a full year before these issues have came, however I un-installed the app around the time they started. Other devices are experiencing network issues but none as severe as the ones on the certain games on my Xbox console.

From what I read & my Understanding the "Outage" is very Spotty. As some people have Access to Live while others don't. & There are other of Disc based games to play while the Network is down.

Ok I tryed a different thing hitting the top of the console while the disk was going in note not to hard or soft just right and the disk started spinning and installing

Hi Food, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.
