    Hi! About 8 of my captures will not play when I click on them and either stay on a grey screen or show up with a symbol showing I can’t play the capture. not sure what’s going on as a year ago I could watch these clips but now it isn’t possible to. I can watch clips even further in the past with no problems, it’s just a few that won’t play and are scattered at multiple different times of the year. I’m just curious if anyone has any clue why that might be. Thanks

    Having trouble recording clips while offline

    Im using a usb drive and i record clips all the time. It works fine when online because the capture tab isnt greyed out.

    But when I’m offline, the achievements, friends, capture etc. Everything is greyed out and i cant access the “start recording” button.

    The captures were successful though. When I was finally online and the captures tab wasn't greyed out, at the bottom where it said "see all", the number in brackets was over 200. When I clicked it, it showed me the one capture I'd taken since getting internet back. When I went back, it now said "See All (1)". hundreds of successfully recorded captures vanished.

    I succeeded to capture XBox Game Bar config display by snipping tools, but why can I do that?

    Hi, when you say "I can't capture game clipper window by usual ways" do you mean that the recording option is greyed out for you now?

    Yes the USB drive is brand new and works on the computer. Tried all prior fixes listed above and nothing. Files work on the drive. Trying to capture gameplay on Xbox series x. Won’t recognize as an option to change the location of capture and share to the jump drive.

    btw the answer is related to windows game bar right? when i press windows key + G in capture area all buttons r grey excepts mic button that is the problem.
