Solved the Bricked Xbox problem E206

So at the end of March my Xbox X crashed during a update. I thought it was the hard drive so I ordered a identical one and property partitioned and formatted and then installed it. I have tried offline update. NTFS OSU1 usb and it prepares till about 3% then crashes. Xbox is only a year and some change old and out of warranty. I’m scratching my head I thought the update corrupted the files or hard drive went bad and figured a new hard drive with new files would work.

Stays on error code 106. Have tried data cache and bind. Don’t know what to do.

Xbox has never been modded or whatever that insider stuff y’all are talking about.

Any advice. Help

Update 3AM. I have resurrected my Xbox from death

To recap and I’m no expert and this worked for me Fill in the gaps say what you want. I’m here !

I originally thought it was a bad harddrive I bought a identical seagate off eBay for 65. I was hoping it would be partitioned but it wasn’t. I used a follow along guide and ran the scripts and put the folders where they needed to go. Made the OSU1 on a usb and used front usb. No joy checked all the files and locations everything was good no joy. So from what I find the OSU2 is now OSU1. There is also a OSU 3. I tried a usb of OSU 3 bind eject offline and no joy. I’ve been working on this a long time. So don’t ask me how or why. I said fuck it. I combine OSU1 and OSU 3 make the $SystemUpdate folder in my usb. It gets down to the 6 files that have the same name. I don’t know what to do so I add the larger files (same name) basically in with all the other files of OSU1. So the files of OSU3 with OSU1 together*. I stick that in the back USB port as I’ve used the front one the entire time. So that’s not really how you trouble shoot. So I can’t tell you if maybe just the USB port is bad or if I pulled off some black magic. But she took the update downloaded and is rolling data right now. I’m pretty excited bc I know a lot of people are frustrated and I’m hoping that I just solved the big problem It worked for me may not work for you but I was at my wits end with no help in sight. Sorry for not formatting but I’m down with today. It’s 330am.
