    For anybody having a hard time connecting their PC to their Xbox using the “XBOX console companion” app this story might help.

    Amazing experience for me yesterdaySOLUTION : Not connecting PC to Xbox using the “XBOX console companion” app :) I bought and built a new computer three months ago and have had a heckuva time trying to get it to work with my Xbox(the reason I bought it) come to find out my ISP had me on a dynamic IP address so I couldnt connect my
    Xbox to my “XBOX console companion” and after 10+ hours on the phone with people we figured it out yesterday(Here is the Tip for anybody having that issue
    get a static IP) The ISP came to my house to help set it up, had a hard time but he called multiple people for assistance and after an hour or so of hard work it actually worked! I screamed heck yeah at the top of my lungs open the beer and
    just gave it to him without even asking and we sat on the couch having a beer laughing about it for the next 10 minutes I have AT&T U-verse and they typically will put you on a dynamic IP for security. But if you want to connect your Xbox to your
    consul companion you will have to request a static IP address. this costed me $15 a month but it was well worth it

    Why are you connecting the Xbox to the PC?

    You can use the console companion APP to connect the console to the PC. The console can be natively connected to your home network either via wireless or a wired connection.

    Hi ParanKapur,

    This is was addressed the other day too, a solution/work around was found by another user.

    "I unlinked Facebook completely on the Xbox companion app on my PC.

    I then downloaded the Xbox app onto my phone and connected it using the phone app. it connected fine and the Xbox companion app on my pc then updated with my Facebook linked to it with no further problems. works fine now"

    Please give this a go and see if it helps solve the problem.

    Try using the Xbox app, not the Xbox Console Companion. There's a new Xbox app that is for the PC Game Pass.
