    This worked for me and hopefully it does for you, unfortunately chat support was unable to assist.

    Any how - if you are unable to access your messages on your Xbox App or your messages from Xbox.com there is currently a system message that is on your account that can be viewed on your smart device or xbox platform. I was unable
    to delete it while viewing it on the Xbox One, to work around this I went on smart glass through my tablet where I was able to delete the system message from my account.
    After I did this I signed out of the Xbox App on my PC and signed back in
    and BOOM, back to normal.

    I did not have to sign out of xbox.com, i simply clicked the link for messages and it was working as well.

    Messages on Xbox app aren't loading for two days now, Xbox.com website for going on two months now

    "Try again - we had trouble getting your conversations"

    That is the error message I get on the messages tab in the Xbox app on my Windows 10 desktop pc. The message page at Xbox.com hasn't worked for going on two months. I can access my messages on the app that is on my Android phone, and I can access them on my
    Xbox.

    Can't access messages

    As of today 1/1/2016 I can once again access my messages via web browser on xbox.com which is great but my xbox app for windows 10 was still crashing when I clicked on messages (could still get notifications of messages and access messages for a specific
    player, just like before). I did as Mr Ghost suggested to see if there was a system message from xbox live and sure enough there was! I was able to delete it via smartglass for iOS. Once I did that I could once again use messages from the xbox app for windows

    DNS problem (lannet router)

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. As you're receiving a DNS error message, would this be on a Windows 10 PC or on an Xbox One console? Here are a couple of solutions based on the type of device you're using:

    For Xbox One:

    The said error message occurs if there's an issue with connecting to the Xbox server using the Xbox app on your computer. To resolve this issue, I suggest that you perform the following solutions below:

    Solution 1: Run the Windows app troubleshooter to scan and repair your app. You may refer to this
    link to run the troubleshooter.

    Solution 2: Reset the Xbox app.

    1. Press the Windows key, and then select the gear icon to access Settings.
    2. Select Apps.
    3. Under Apps & features, locate the Xbox app.
    4. Click the Xbox app, and then click Advanced options.
    5. Click Reset.
    6. Restart your computer to save the changes made on your computer.

    Solution 3: Disable Manual Proxy setup.

    1. Press the Windows key, and then select the gear icon to access Settings.
    2. Select Network & Internet.
    3. Go to Proxy tab.
    4. Switch off Manual proxy setup.
