Software Update error

Hi All,

Hope I’m in the right forum this topic.

I bought an XBOX series S on March this year, after 6 month the console asked to make a software update, but it ran into an error no connectivity.

Talked to Microsoft, they asked to send the console for repair at the service center.

Console came back. Two days after same error while trying software update.

Once again talk to Microsoft, once again asked me to send it for repair in the service center, this time I asked to get a new console, after 10 days got a refurbished.

Now for the third time two weeks later the console alerting for software update but can’t complete the update because of a connectivity error. Again, talk to Microsoft and they offered me to send it for repair.

The internet network at home I fine, laptops, cellphone, TV’s all working on the network. When I set WIFI connection on the console I get a connection, but software update wont finish and run in to an error.

I will send it for the third time, but I’m trying to think what causes this? How come the same error happened on two different devices?

Microsoft is Ok here but it is frustrating keep sending the console and get it back all erased.

There is currently a problem with Xbox Live Core Services...check back here later for an update:

It would be best to wait until you see the status go back to normal before attempting to update your console/profile.

Nitzan, this error will continue to occur, because according to your report, the problem is in your network that cannot correctly download the update.

So you just need to configure your internet devices now.

They are unconfigured, so have access restrictions, causing these errors.

If you do not have knowledge, I advise you to contact the ISP that they will do for you

set a fixed ip for the console/PC, open the ports described below, disable and enable the UPnP function and disable the modem firewall, if you have a modem and a router the process has to be done on both devices.

Put console/PC IP in DMZ zone.

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

You can ask ISP(Internet Service Provider) for help
