So why does the PC Xbox Game pass not update for Conan Exiles?

I am being forced to re-download Conan Exiles for another time despite this current update, as of 24/03/2023, being a small hotfix.
The xbox game pass has a check for updates button, but it just doesn't work? This has been an on going issue for the player base for months now, and with players needing to pay for the pass, and players like me with download limits, having to re-download a 90gb+ game for a small hotfix patch is unacceptable.

I have tried numerous/workaround in a vain attempt to get this game to patch through the 'Check for Updates' button on its manager, and the auto-update functionality but nothing works, if anything the Xbox app ignores the files that are there and I have to re-download the entire game anyway.

Why pay for an ultimate, or even base, subscription when the update functionality doesn't work? Is this across other games as well?

Same here. Every time the game is updated I have to delete the whole thing and redownload 90+ GB!!!

The "Check for updates" button doesn't do anything.

PC Xbox Game Pass is light years behind other platforms like Steam or Epic.

The files are only hosted on the Microsoft server, the developer is the one who programs it, and there is probably an error, the app only configures the path of the functions, the game needs to be documented as requested by Microsoft, I advise you to contact the developer of Conan Exile.

Yeah, this is ridiculous.

In the very least, if it is a game dev issue, MS should kick CE out of game pass until it is resolved. I played the game through game pass and was about to buy the ultimate version and then the update happened and saved me some money. I bought it on steam because of this error.

While I am still waiting on a response from the developer, this doesn't explain why an complete delete and re-install solves the issue.

Clearly the files are there to be downloaded by the player, simply saying the game isn't documented correctly, or an error (this has been an ongoing issue to the community for well over a year + now), the developer is the one who programs it (I doubt they programmed the check for updates button) or that the app only configures the path of the options (has MS got the path to the update function wrong) is just ignoring the issue specially when its followed by contact the developer.
