Worth picking up? Blinded by nostalgia? Anything added beyond graphics?

Do you think it would be a waste for me to spend $30 on the game of the year edition to get all the add ons and to play with my friend to be fresh for borderlands 2 or do you think I should just save my money and wait for the second one to come out since
its in a couple months?

I would definitely say buy it, you will want to know what's fully going on when Borderlands 2 comes out

 

I bought the digital version and I'm getting horrible frame rates. I'm still in the starting town and already getting a headache from the frame rate drops.

I'll be curious to see if anyone else is having the same problem. GameFaqs forum has a number of people complaining about freezing but I haven't had it happen yet.

Upgraded graphics are great but if they can't be optimized to run smoothly then what's the use.

 

Having frame rate issues so bad that i could only play for 10 min. I have the latest version of the xbox 360 too.

 

Bought the retail version and haven't noticed any framerate drops, just freezing (twice in two plays). Would recommend the game, but would wait until they can patch the issues, which is hopefully soon.

 

Bought the retail version and haven't had any freezes in 9 hours of gameplay. I did however have a few frame rate issues though. I also ran into a glitch where multiple followers glitched into each other. It was easily resolved though.

 

Other then the freezing at random..... I like it. Fix that and I'll love it.

 

freezing random FPS drop (pretty bad) overall a unfinished game if it is not stable. Extremely annoying.

 

So far no freezing but framerates are pretty bad,still having fun with it though!

 

Only problem i having is freezing and DLC items are not showing up in game.

 

Biggest problem I have is, that the A-button very badly response. I figured out that it response better if you tick the A-button only and don't press it. But anyway, it's so bad that I can't catch a fish with the rod. I tried it for a half hour again and
again - no success. And I need it for a quest, so I can't finish this quest. Also the D-pad doesn't do it precise enough. Sometimes it does what it like. And who need to fart inside a fight?

If you like Fable II and III you will be very disappointed about this release because of the very bad controls.

 

Stopped playing because the framerate issue was giving me bad headaches and traded it in.

 

Haven’t put the game in since anyone know when the game will be patched ?

 

I'm liking it a lot, it's pretty, it's soothing, it's fun. The use of the D-pad is not very intuitive, and it took me a while to figure out how to fish and dig. I've had the occasional game freeze, no particular reason. Also, I thought I'd opened 8 demon
doors when the game says it's only been 6, so I'm wandering back through and manually counting them. Nice game so far.
