So two days ago I purchased a name change for my Xbox gamertag and it still does not show...

Sign in to your Xbox account here: https://social.xbox.com/changegamertag

Verify if your Gamertag is the new one.

In case it is not, the best course of action is to contact Support.

Then, follow these steps:

Type in your query: "Agent"

Click on Get Help.

Scroll down the page and click on Contact Support.

Select your "Other Products" and "Billing and Account Profile Questions" > Confirm.

Select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" > Confirm > Start Chat.

I've just changed it today to 'Tom Archie' instead of 'Tom Archer'.

Currently, i can see that Outlook, Microsoft website and the settings on my Xbox One X show my name as 'Tom Archie' - so the change has taken effect which is good.

However, my gamertag name still shows as 'tom archer' (my gamertag 'arch53' is unaffected of course).. i will wait a couple days and see....

I changed my gamertag 2 days ago and it's doing the same thing. on Xbox live friends list and in party chat it shows my old gamertag and on the Xbox app. On xboxlive.com it shows new gamertag

I've done the last thing left for me to check for this error. Some time ago I read in some forum that this problem was because the Gamertag name had been associated with a WLID in the past.

Finally I have changed the name of my gamertag (I wanted to change two years ago XD). And the error still continues.

I went on to the website and it confirms that I did pay for a new gamertag. I changed it to from lAndyHDl and after two days it has still not worked.

It is on all platforms that the new GT does not show
