Unfortunately if the hdmi is broken you can't access the remote options or anything in the menu.

Please check the repairs option.

I apologize but accessing the settings will be the only way to manage the remote features which will not be possible if the HDMI port is not working.

You can check options with the repair by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices.

unfortunately it is impossible to use a xbox one without an hdmi cable, its the only way the xbox one will be able to be displayed. if the hdmi port itself is broken in any way your console will need to be either repaired or replaced since the hdmi cable
is unable to be read by the port. hope this helps.

Ok, so some updates. I have no warranty, it will be the standard $100 fee to fix it. Like I stated before my red, white, and yellow cables work so I guess I will have to put up with the poor picture quality if I want to do anything on the Xbox.... Is
there any such thing as going from the composite plug on the console, to the hdmi plug on my TV?? I guess what I am asking if there is any possible way to get a HDMI image with my HDMI port being broken?

all I need as of this moment is a cord/converter set up with one end being an HDMI plug and the other end being the plug that goes into the av port, ( which is above the HDMI port) on an Xbox 360 (the port is shaped like a long strip).

the reason I need this is because, the HDMI port on my Xbox is broken and the only other port that I can use to connect it to a tv is an av port, but I have heard that display with av is not as good that with HDMI.
