    after having my Xbox series x in standby for a few days, I went to turn it back on and the internet connection was missing, I have it update to date with console updates, we got this Xbox from our local GameStop store, in any case I reboot the Xbox series x, and now the web or internet connection with our home router is working again and now it can see the routers connection again, its reading the Nate type as open but before that problem I think our home router Nate type was moderate instead of open type, I don't know if that has anything to do with it, also when turned back on it was upgrading Microsoft store, and 5 games have updates to download for the series x versions of them. and 1 of the 5 are Xbox update not series x version which would be that Quarry video game, I own the disc of the Xbox one only version also got from GameStop, here.

    Anyway if this no internet problem is a firmware bug I hope it gets fixed in the next update, otherwise the console was or is running fine, and I don't own that about $200 more or less 1TB to 2TB dollar SD cards for its port yet, I do own the gaming 4TB USB drive, that series x games cannot be play on, otherwise again I am questioning or asking about the no web problem when waking the console from Standby mode, it's the first time that happened, and again a reboot of the Xbox console was all was needed for the internet connect to be detected again. I own the new Series X for 1 to 2 months so far.

    when running the Test NAT type it went back to Moderate with UPnP not successful, again our home router is an AT&T U-Verse model, and its also our home phone lines go thought the internet with it, I don't think that would affect the new Xbox Series X , but wanted to again ask about it and if others are having this bug too, so I know it's not just me and my new console system.

    Controller connection issue?

    I have been having a similar issue after my series x goes into standby. When I turn it back on, none of the devices will connect. Is your case similar?

    I have to power of the console. Remove the power then turn on, it works fine after that.

    Xbox series x controller not turning off after system shut down

    figured it out. Xbox series X wont turn off your controller or respond to the controller once its on a off state if your console is in ENERGY SAVER mode. In order to be able to turn your xbox on with the controller you must be in STANDBY mode. Thats a stupid move by Microsoft to force you to keep wasting power in order to turn on you console with the controller.

    I have the same in xbox series S, only in dashboard / standby / turning on / restart, but not when gaming.

    Yes its probably the same bug that can cause the NAT to go strict when switching console back on after being in standby.

    It is annoying and should be fixed.

    Strange issue during turning on

    You may have tried to turn the console on while it is completing a System (OS) update.

    I do a lot of OS updates each week (Alpha Skip Ahead Insider) and know that if the fan is blowing air out of the top of my Series X when I try to turn it on, it is updating the System OS.

    Depending on what stage the update is at, Downloading, Verifying or Applying, lights on the console will flash. If you see lights flashing on the console it means the update is rebooting to do the Applying stage of the update. This takes a couple of minutes and then console will go back to Standby mode and the light will go out as in off.

    You can now turn the console back on.
