    So i want to change my name.


    I want to change my gamertag, but i run into a ton of payment issues.

    I tried adding my paypal account which just bugges out the browser. It never opens a paypal window.

    I don't own a creditcard so that's off of the table.

    I decided to buy a microsoft 10$ card but it wouldn't accept it because it's a european gift card? And the only namechange microsoft site i can find is US.

    I added the 10$ to my microsoft account but now it just looks like i've lost it forever.

    Any help would be much appreciated. At this point i just feel like i should forget about changing my name.

    Hi Joshua,

    I want to recommend you the Microsoft Rewards program.

    If you frequently collect points you can redeem them for credits. With these credits you can purchase a gamertag change and afterwards if you collect more points you can buy games and add-ons etc.

    I understand why they added the hash, but I made my name SatNav specifically because I wanted my name to be SatNav, not . Now I have to pay to make my name something I actually want; I changed my name from CoinBucket17878 because A) I wanted a different name in general, and B) I didn’t want a random spam of numbers after it. I used my free name change to change it to something I THOUGHT I wanted, but Microsoft sucks and still spams numbers after my name. I get adding numbers after names so there can be hundreds of Dream####s in a Hive lobby, but a name like SatNav, which I was told had not yet been taken, shouldn’t be wrecked so terribly. Now I have to pay to fix Microsoft’s idiotic system, and honestly my new name will probably be spammed again because honestly Microsoft sucks at this. I get it’s also to prevent spam name changes, but time intervals work just fine for that as well.
