I understand what you are saying and without a doubt what you are saying would be a great idea, but I remind you that this is a Microsoft public forum and here we are simply players like you who help other users with basic problems, this means that we are not Microsoft employees.

So I would recommend you contact Microsoft/Xbox Support directly, and perhaps they can escalate your concerns and recommendations to the team in charge so they can take them into account. I would really like to offer you better help, but here we can only give our opinion.

it was really good with the animated avatar and purchased items on the home screen

I am having the same issue. When I finally get in and see my avatar, it takes me to the different ways to make your avatar look. Once I select one, it gets stuck at the next screen. I just back out to the home screen. I guess they are still working on the
avatar store or something.

On the Home screen there was an advert for anthem, you had to click on that and watch the complete video of game reviewrs playing Anthem. Once you did that you got the redeem for the Avatar outfit. Not sure if it is running anymore but keep an eye out
on the Home screen for the advert.

I miss the US Army/Halo theme I had on my 360. I have my avatar from my 360 as my gamerpic on my X1. Sometimes it even shows up here on this site; but not much.
