I downloaded the OSU1 file a few days back, pretty sure it was a good 24-36 hours after the August 2019 system update was released. But my dash still has the last four digits of the July OS.

It doesn't make sense for MS to not update the OSU1 files. If the current OSU1 (that I downloaded) updated my system to July 2019, then surely it would have been updated to reflect the dash version of the August 2019 OS update by now, correct?

However, you're saying that they have released the new OSU1. Please confirm the OS version number, can you?

has any progress been made with this issue? my xbox one x started experiencing issues after the august update and dashboard changes and today after 3 factory resets since update i am in the sae boat. my console boots t troubleshooting menu and will not
update from osu1. very frustrating and very upsetting as it worked fine prior to update. microsoft should make this right by fixing the cause of this issue, but most likely will not based on past experience.

this needs to be addressed, especially with the upcoming release of the new console. many people do research before upgrading or buying new systems all together, and may not do so based on this stuff happening. i have my xbox one x and my friend has 2
one x consoles all having the same issues......

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. Do I need to redownload and copy the OSU1 files to a USB again for the August 2019 update then? Or is OSU1 not in-line with the latest OS update and merely a 'rescue OS' to get things moving for the time being?

FYI, the one I downloaded again on August 14, 2019 updated my console to the July 2019 OS version, not August.

Is there no other way to update other that the OSU1 solution? I'm still on the July 2019 OS although things are running fine.

Xbox Live system update is a no-no for me as it corrupts the OS and then everything pretty much stops working.

I don't think that nobody download uncorrupted osu1 file recently. I downloaded more than 50 times to download osu1 file with wired, wireless from home or work, but they all corrupted. I jut wait for Xbox post new osu1 file..
