Discus and support Smart Delivery. Why not make it optional? in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; Cant Smart Delivery just be a optional thing?     Smart Delivery. Why not make it optional?


    Cant Smart Delivery just be a optional thing? Like some games i see that optimization is great like fortnite, cod etc... so yeah i want those to be.. but as a Series S user with a external SSD it's really annoying that games that run perfectly on my Xbox one X via the SSD are unplayable on the Series S. Even games like Uno cant be played on the SSD anymore and i have no way of controlling it.

    Why cant the optimization just be a optional thing, so when i download a game i can choose to either optimize or not a simple yes or no question or have it in the settings to turn smart delivery on or off so people can choose... that or smart delivery recognizes that ok you download to a SSD so we give you the xbox one version instead. Because that version still exist and works perfectly fine on the other console. Some games have to be optimized and i get that, and they tell you that when you buy them.. but a game working on the SSD should have no trouble working just the same on a console that is technicly better.

    At leasy it uses smart delivery most games dont which makes for bigger file sizes

    When will the Xbox one series s come with a disc drive

    It wouldnt that's by design

    First you can't install disc games because it's digital only

    It operates with smart delivery which you Cant use with discs

    There a reason why you pay less for a series s it has less hardware and storage

    This is why smart delivery is important since it looks at your console and gives you a compressed version since you don't have space

    When the Series X/S was sent out to testers pre-release, it was possible to install Xbox One versions of Smart Delivery Games....however, it seems it was made impossible for general release.

    Found this from just after release:
