Hi, you can try this... we recomend you to fully quit the game before open other games or apps, the following link will show you how.

Image stutters or is slow to refresh

If the image on your TV or monitor is visibly slow to refresh, it may mean that your TV or monitor is stuck in a low refresh rate. If this happens, you'll need to restart your Xbox One console. Here's how:

1. Press and hold the Xbox button
   in the center of your Xbox One controller to open the Power Center.
2. Select Restart console.
3. Select Restart.

Note If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the
Xbox button on the console for about 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the
Xbox button on the console again to restart.

Also, check that your television is not performing additional processing on the image. On your TV, this is often called dynamic contrast, image enhancement, or clear motion rate. Running the HDTV calibration tool can help you optimize settings for your television.

To run the HDTV calibration tool:

1. Press the Xbox button
   to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings > Display & sound.
   
3. Select Video output > Calibrate TV.
4. Follow the steps to finish calibration.

Troubleshoot video issues with an audio-video receiver in your setup

If your Xbox One console is connected to an audio-visual receiver (AVR), the AVR is connected to the television, and the image is slow or stutters, follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Power on your devices in the following order, waiting for each device to fully power up before starting the next device:
   1. First, power on your television.
   2. Once your television is displaying a picture, power on the AVR.
   3. Power on your Xbox One console.
2. Use the Input button on your television's remote control (or the buttons on the television) to switch the input source of your AVR away from the console, and then back (for example, switch from HDMI1 to HDMI2, and then switch back to HDMI1).
   
3. Restart the AVR.
4. Set your TV connection to HDMI:
   1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide and select System.
      
   2. Select Settings > Display & sound >
      Video output.
   3. Select Video fidelity & overscan.
   4. From the Display dropdown, select HDMI.

Sorry for the slow reply, just wanted to say thanks to you and the other contibuters who replied to this thread. Due to work I haven't had enough time at home to try these options, but recently the Xbox started to work normally again and is playing DVDs
without any issues.

If the problem returns I'll try these options and let you all know the outcome.

hi thanks for the question

if you xbox is on the the power save mode could have somthing to do with it

please check the instant on if check off. this might help

also make sure you have fully updated everything as well

if this dont help then do get back intouch
