    Hi,

    I have an Xbox one S and am trying to stream video (sports on genuine espn play account). The streaming is very blocky and doesn't run smoothly.

    I hve the netflix app on the same Xbox and never have any problems. I can stream from espn play on my laptop on the same wifi with no problem (windows 10 and Chrome).

    There is no app for espn play in the store as far as I can tell.

    It would appear this is a problem with the capacity of the browser for streaming. Are there any settings for this - perhaps related to caching for the browser that could be tweaked? I'm assuming no other browsers are available for the Xbox? (chrome/firefox
    etc)

    And on top of what he said, just visiting websites like reddit, the browser crashes within a minute of scrolling and i have to refresh over and over again. YouTube.com doesn't work at all and i mean even before the new youtube layout came out it wouldnt
    work right. I dont want to use an app. Ever. I cant read comments... i cant find things the same way as on a browser. I ditched buying computers ever again because i was satisfied with my xbox ones capabilities but the last year or so has been browsing hell.
    I am sure there is no good excuse. Fix it. Now, please, whatever word u wanna hear to get it done.

    Any live stream video on YouTube can only be watched on a browser mainly so that YouTube and the live stream provider can sell ads.

    Also it seems that you can not watch said live via the Xbox IE browser as it seems the video uses Flash when streaming and since Xbox doesn't support flash the content is not watchable

    Problems streaming video on Xbox browsers

    Though Microsoft Edge may be a good browser, it is important to note that the console was not designed to stream movies like that on third party sites unless the page and video player are supported.

    If you are using a reputable site that perhaps has an app, such as Netflix or Hulu, I would suggest downloading said app and attempting to watch the media there.

    If it did work at one point though, it could be a networking issue. I would suggest checking your network and making sure that it's up to Xbox Live criteria outlined in
    Network settings on Xbox One    .
