slow performance of Civilisation VI after installing Windows 11

Hi,

the performance of Civilisation VI strongly deteriorated after the installation of Windows 11. The game is unplayable.

Please do you know how to fix it? I uninstalled and reinstalled Steam and Civ VI.

Hi,

The system requirements of Windows 11 not much different from those of Windows 10, there shouldn't be a huge degradation of performance in your games going from one to the other.

What's your system specs?

That's really strange, in this case I can advise you performing a custom installation for your system, you can install Windows 10 instead (or if you prefer 11 again)

Performed a clean install of Windows 11 which has rectified the issue. Thanks again for the help.

In order to cover everything from your side I can advise you two more things to try:

A. Perform an in-place upgrade for your system (don't worry your content will remain)

B. Go back to windows 10 or perform a custom installation for windows (in case you want to go back to 10 or reinstall 11)

If the issue persists after trying the option B, it is likely to be a hardware issue and not an issue with windows
