    we are experiencing the slowest install of a lifetime. Installing from a disc and it has been over 12 hrs at only at 90%. help!!!

    Slow game installs

    Picking up my X1 this afternoon. Would it be better (or even possible) to install game by powering on for the first time and not hooking up to the network?

    This is just my guess, so keep that in mind, but I think the tile showing the status of the install may be combining the download and install to disk into one percentage bar. I'm hoping that's why it's taking a while to install BF4. I'm only on 7Mb internet.

    It is installing the game and downloading a large update too. Since you have waited this long I think I would just wait it out. Good Luck!

    I'm having the same problem! The download, after the 4th attempt went fairly quickly, the update is taking forever.

    I thought something was wrong with the Xbox. I started this yesterday and it's still working, download done, 55% on update that was 18g in size!

    Very true the size of the games and the updates definitely makes a fast reliable internet connection a good friend.

    Also, I try to pre-order the games so they can download in the background typically at night when I am asleep.

    Yours took only 12 hours? Mine has taken two days, slowed down the internet on all devices in my house like crazy, makes playing multiplayer in any game *** near impossible (including netflix/hulu), and it will not install whne the console is off anymore.
    I just wanted to enjoy this game before i shipped out for the army, not for the experience of the game, but now for the fact that I've invested too much *** money into this *** company that releases consoles and games with more bugs than i care to count. This
    download will probably take a total of four day because i am only at 53% on the second day. If you just got an xbone and are reading this, i hope you will come to your senses and return it. To the others posted above me, i hope you are enjoying this game.

    I have the same problem too were it won't download past 55% and I have tried all the troubleshooting for the game and downloads. Still doesn't work, and it's been 2 almost 3 days
