Slow download speeds on windows store

Do you happen to be behind a proxy? If yes, make sure "Automatically Detect Settings" is checked in IE.

(in Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings)

Thank you for your prompt response.

I followed your instructions and was getting pretty much the same download test results with each port I tried.

When I went back to check my download progress of my game and updates I saw that my usual speed had returned (around 95Mbps) instead of the dial up speeds I was getting when downloading.

Please go to Settings > Network settings > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Select manual.

It will ask you to manually fill your primary and secundary DNS IP. Try with these two combinations to see which one performs better:

Primary: 1.1.1.1 / Secundary: 1.0.0.1

Primary: 8.8.8.8 / Secundary: 8.8.4.4

After that, on the same screen, go to Alternate MAC address > Clear > Restart. This will restart your console.

After the restart, go to Network settings again > Advanced settings > Alternate port selection. Try with each one of the ports and see which one gives you a better download and upload speed.

To test your connection (after changing ports and/or DNS), just click on "Test network speed" on your Network settings page.

Already ahead of you there. Got the windows store installed and currently been trying to download the game once again





Been this way for about 30mins. Don't know why the download speed is so slow. Its either super slow download speed or it tells me something went wrong.
