    Slow download speeds, and dropouts on latest skip ahead build


    Has anyone else been experiencing slow downloads and downloads failing in the latest alpha skip ahead build?

    Normally my download speed is between 90 and 110mbps, however with the latest build downloads are capping out at about 20mbps. I have tried full restart, no games running and even connecting to different networks (4G mobile data on Telstra, NBN wired internet with iinet and 2.5ghz and 5ghz WiFi networks).

    Doesn't matter which network, the download speed never gets back to the 100mbps the device had before.

    On the Xbox Series X, submitted report through Xbox as well.

    up untill recently mine was making the swoosh sound. Since some of the latest Alpha Skip Ahead builds it has stopped. Is your console pre-owned at all?

    Hi SatansWrath999,

    If it puts you at ease, you're not alone with this issue. My console is giving me the exact same issue (wired connection, good download speeds, network equipment all fine) and it's in the Skip Ahead program.

    My console not in the program is working just fine.

    As ThorX360 mentioned, report it through the app on the console. You'll see a few people in the Xbox Insiders reddit area mentioning it as well too.
