    Good Day All

    I would like to know why the download speed of any game or app in south africa is so slow, I work for a Wireless ISP and know that there is no problem with my internet connection.

    I have done some research and could see that you host the files at a Telkom ip address, now if there is a problem with their servers which is very possible as telkom is terrible, why not move it to a proper data centre such as terico?

    Its painfull enough that games are super big and that we dont have the best internet in south africa but really getting a speed of 2mbps when I have a 40mbps line is just blasphemy

    Please advise how we can address this problem and get better download speeds, how are we suppose to enjoy anything on our xbox when its just sitting there downloading forever, by the time my download is finished im not even going to have the want to play
    the game

    Come on microsoft sort this out

    Hi there, thank you for the reply.

    I have tried all of these. Which is why I stated that I believe this to be an Xbox issue since there aren't local servers in SA and I'm not the only one experiencing this issue and this is what the tests suggest.

    We have local servers for game lobbies such as in CoD, BF etc.

    But I don't believe we have local Xbox Live servers to connect to Xbox Live and to download games from the Microsoft store. Which is the problem here...

    So the issue is not Remote Play, I don't really care for it, it was just an example. If you read above my issue is with the lack of Xbox Live servers in South Africa causing a poor experience overall. Download speeds are unreliable, upload speeds very slow and latency far too high. We have had Azure data centres locally since 2019 so the lack of South African Xbox Live servers is very disappointing. Our latency ranges from 150 - 300ms so we're clearing connecting to servers in Europe.
