Slow download of MSFS

Hello. I have a small problem. My MSFS deluxe version (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020) is downloading very long (Approximately 10-15 hours). Do you know how to fix it? Because the PC can't work the whole night, and I need it faster.

This sounds like a laptop

Flight Simulator has thousands of small files that are decompressed. The faster your hard drive and processor, the faster it will go. If you’re working with a mechanical drive in a laptop, that’s a big reason you’re having issues , If you have a modern GPU (you don’t) that has decompression assist. Your CPU is below minimums as well, and for this game that’s a lot more important than the GPU.

Hey, so I had reinstalled MSFS on steam by deleting everything related to MSFS in files, and now it’s installing fine. however the download speed is incredibly slow and I see it’s a common problem with everyone else, is there any way to boost this up to the speeds I should be getting ?

On October 30, 2021, I tried downloading again, and it worked. After the download, I was able to launch MSFS 2020, reinstall all the updates, and fly.

I can also confirm this worked for me on PC. I downloaded the XBOX app via the store.

Then, in store, clicked the three dots.

Then "downloads and updates" and sure enough there was an update for MSFS 2020 1.19.9.0. This was 507.0MB.

I then started MSFS 2020 which went to its own install manager and showed me the "Standard Content" mandatory update which was 108.12MB. The total download, however, was 3.19GB.

I then downloaded all available updates in content manager.

Once all this was complete I quit to desktop and restarted MSFS 2020 without issue.

I think it's VERY strange to need to install the XBOX app for any updates to show in the PC's Microsoft store!!
