Slander and Defamation really handled?

I get you Jetsfan, thanks. I don't fear for my life. He's almost definitely one of those online/Internet tough guys that hide behind the anonymity of Live. I just don't feel like this kind of behavior should be tolerated. Xbox Live used to be a great
and friendly place to have fun/play the games we all love. It's not like that anymore. Now most games are dead silent because people don't want to use their mic's and be subjected to any of that nonsense.

Yeah I realize I could just not use my mic also, but if any of you were around when Live first launched, you would know what a shame it is that we lost that sense of fun and community. Even on forums like these, there are those who just can't help themselves
and attack/insult people at every turn. It would be nice if the new xbox1/ps4 sharing or DVR also records player chat if you choose. That would make it easy to provide MS with proof and then we would see if they really do care about separating the "jerks"
(their word) from the people who are gaming to have a good time.

I did contact MS and they told me to file a complaint. Obviously I did, but it was in game chat. They won't know what was said. Then they told me to complain on EA's forums since it was during their game. This person was sick and disgusting and should
at the very least be banned from Live. Unfortunately, The person I spoke to at MS said something like "I can't stop people from being jerks". So you just let them then? Nice. I'll bet thus new policy on XB1 is just as worthless as on 360. I was kind of
shocked really. I thought if they knew somebody took it that far, they would take immediate action. Very sad. I'm paying $60 a year for this now?

The MS rep is 100 percent right. He cannot stop people from being jerks. Just as the Police cannot "stop" every murder, theft, or drug deal. Just as congress and other government agencies cannot stop people from being "jerks" with ludicrous protests like
the Westboro Baptist Church.

PS. ANYONE that pays more than 40 dollars a year for Xbox Live, isnt a very good consumer.
