Skyrim Mod Enable bug

I have been installing mods to improve lighting and for custom weapons. However, when i try to install new mods, I get an error message (this mod cannot be installed because you are silly.) I have 4 Gb and the mod in question is 1 MB. This issue has been in play for 3 days now, and all the other articles are utterly useless.

Please answer the following questions to see how you can proceed

in which platform are you playing the game?
If you try disabling all the active moss first, are you able to install new ones or not yet?
And, which troubleshooting steps you have done so far to fix this?

BTW, I just got it to work using Vortex from NexusMods as per one reply. I believe the issue was the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE64) not being enabled. Without it being enabled, any mods I would enable, Vortex would state that the plugin was invalid.

I uninstalled Vortex and did a clean install and now it works. Of course, that means achievements are disabled due to the mods, but it does work!

Yeah agreed. By the way, the company is Bethesda, not the Elder Scrolls hahaha. But yeah, it would be pretty sick. I believe there is a mod availible for the PC that enables you to play Skyrim with other people, not sure if its true though.

If you originally played skyrim without mods and finished the game then it is alright to use cheat room. Once you enable mods achievements are disabled even if you turn mods off as long as it has (M) next to the character name. The only thing cheats
could "ruin" is the joy of working your character back up to level 204 without cheats lol.

Hey there!

Have you tried uninstalling/disabling the mods and seeing what happens? Does your game load then? It sounds like your game has quite a bit going on and is failing load times or that you possibly have some incompatible mods enabled or an incorrect load order,
maybe.

I'd recommend disabling all the mods and start re-enabling them one by one to see if you can narrow down the issue. If you still need further assistance, I'd suggest hitting up the

Skyrim SE Community to see if they can help you figure out with all your mods. They'll have a much better grasp on what's going on than we will.
