Skipping over tabs

My xbox one for some reason skips over tabs when a press left or right on the dpad or just the sticks and i know that it’s not the controller because it does it with 3 that i tried can someone please help?

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Definitely try doing a hard reset.

Don´t worry, this just only will clean out your cache.

Try it and tell us if did work.

Skip the sign in on Xbox startup, then go to system, find the storage tab, go to Gamer Profiles, and then delete his profile.

Hi Chris

Thanks for your reply. We have an Xbox one console. We have tried updating the controller and the software up to date. What is unusual is there is a volume tab in settings etc, but I'm unable to access it, the cursor skips over it to the buzzer tab. The
controller buzzes when we hit the tab.

we don't have a second controller to test the headset out on.

I'll look at the network settings when i get home from work.

Mine has the skip and stay offline tab too. But a couple of the other post on here dont have that have you figured it out yet?
