Skipping forward/backward with Kinect + Halo 5 XOne not working

In another thread there was a problem that ended up getting solved with the 1TB XOnes while using Kinect where the channel numbers sent by Kinect were duplicating. I posted that not everything has been fixed with this console and its IR problems, but no
one is responding to my question on that thread (probably because it was marked as answered/closed). The main issue was fixed (at least for my FiOS VMS1100 **** box). a problem remains, though. The skip forward and skip backward commands don't function at
all. The XOne hears the command, but sends no IR signal. The function works fine from my regular remotes. The function works fine on my bedroom with my Day One XOne. The function works fine with Blu-rays. It's just an issue with the FiOS box and 1TB XOne consoles,
I'm guessing. I have the Halo 5 Guardians special edition.

We watch a lot of shows from our DVR and having to grab a remote for this one function during every commercial break is a pain and completely ruins the point of having this $150 accessory.

Kinect sends multiple (duplicate) digits to my Verizon box when changing channels.

Channel switching now works without sending multiple digits, but skipping forward and backward still doesn't work for me when using Kinect by voice, controller, or Smartglass app.

Halo 5 Gaurdians 1TB + VMS1100 FiOS media server.

Works fine in my bedroom with my Day One Edition and the bedroom media client.

Halo Wars and I pre-ordered Halo 5, I wish to join but I'm under 16.
