Skip credit card when buying game

I got a $5.00 gift card from using Bing rewards, and I found Pac Man for $4.99. When I clicked purchase, I was asked to enter a credit card. Since I don't need to pay anything, is there a way I could bypass this and just use the gift card?

Buying things on Xbox Live with both Microsoft account and pay the rest by credit card?

It´s The Crew: Seasons Pack im buying. Now I have found how to do the payment, when I press purchase I get an option to select my account money or skip it and pay everything with my credit card. If I take the 100 Swedish krona from Microsoft account, it
will take the rest of the amount from my credit card. I didn´t know that first so i thought it would take the whole amount from my credit card. So now I know. Thanks for the help.

If you have enough on your account to also include tax, you would need to change your payment method to use your Microsoft account balance. If you only have the $5.00 then you would not have enough to cover tax which is why it asks for a credit card. You
would either need to add another Xbox gift card to add more funds to your account, or use a credit card to help cover the amount of tax.

Mister Fizzle where can I see my currency when I am trying to buy something? I only see the credit card option! Also, will it ever be possible to buy free games without the need of a credit card?

if i go to the shops and buy a game pass ultimate subscription do i still need to add a credit card when redeeming that subscription and downloading games on the game pass? i really don't want to add a credit card and it's **** that you have to unless you're actually planning on buying stuff with the CC.

Hello, JT8804. Your question's answer is no.

Only use Game Pass code, download games and play its. So, you do not have to credit card if you go to the shops and buy a Game Pass Ultimate code.

After when you used Game Pass code, you do not need any credit card.
