Skip Ahead Alpha: how does an update like this even get approval?

This is the worst update in years. I completely understand that we are here to test these - but every single person is having the same glaringly obvious issues on this new update.

Which begs the question - how does it even get pushed out into the wild for us? There's no way these could be missed or someone thought "sure that'll do"...

This is all on Series X:

100% of the time when coming out of standby, the controller is completely unresponsive except for the guide button.

Game clips simply cannot be trimmed (this has been a LONG standing issue that still baffles me from a company full of genius software engineers... A hard reboot usually fixes it, but this no longer works)

Screenshots do not save. I took 8 last night, and zero of them exist on my console.

Also coming out of standby is now incredibly slow. It used to be instant, taking you straight to the dashboard or profile select screen. Now it's a light grey screen, followed by a dark grey flicker. After 10 seconds you can hear the guide sound if you press the guide button, but still a dark screen. Eventually the guide appears (still on a dark screen) and then the dashboard loads up in the background - incredibly laggy)

The spinner icon when loading something in the dashboard has a completely broken animation. Cosmetic, but still odd.

Quick resume has again ceased to function, no matter the game.

Audio cuts out often in every game I've tried today.

The tracing feature in the new Report a Problem app never gets past the "beginning tracing..." screen.

Trying to report a problem is now almost impossible.

Usually I'm patient with these issues, as it's totally understandable that some slip through the cracks and we signed up to provide feedback on them.

But how does this specific update even make it past internal testing with all of these very obvious, very apparent issues that are reproduced every single time you simply turn the system on?
