Everything does work, you can't blame Microsoft for greedy scalpers jumping in and buying up stock. They announced 25th October that the Kinect was not being manufactured, so it would figure that the adapters would be stopped soon after. They probably manufactured
more than enough but scalpers got them first.

But they are still falsely advertising the XBox One X and Xbox One S as fully compatible with the Xbox One when they are not longer compatible with the kinect, so we can blame them, and I think we could even take legal actions against them since this two
products which are are advertised as fully compatible, are not, because they decided to drop production on a required adapter.

Xbox Support can troubleshoot accounts and hardware. They won't have access to sell you anything.

Xbox Support is tied to supporting the products as they are. There's nothing that Xbox Support can do for you when it's not in their control.

Xbox/Microsoft above the "support" level decided to make these changes. And it appears they decided to stop making the Kinect and the Kinect adapter.

Don't get upset with what I'm about to say, but Kinect on the XBox is DEAD. Microsoft isn't supporting it anymore, just like its phone.

This has always bugged me about Microsoft, who copies others, and when it fails, they walk away completely leaving everyone with money spent and nothing to use.

The speech feature has been moved to the headset and no new games or apps even code for Kinect controls.

Look at it this way: you'll save some pennies without having to plug in the Kinect. I know, that isn't helpful, but the sooner you let go of the Kinect, the better, I'm afraid.
