Sims Freeplay - unable to install after update

Hi,

I know that I'm not the only one having such problems but haven't seen it raised yet.

Some time ago there was an update of the game which made my game freeze. I decided to reistall it cause it was impossible to play.

Unfortunately it was a mistake - I was able to uninstall it but I'm not able to install it again. Every time it gets stuck in the same place and then I'm getting a following error message: "We're having trouble installing this app. If this is the first time
that you've seen this message, go ahead and try again. If the app still won't install, go to your Phone Update settings to make sure that your phone software is up to date." I have checked that and everything is fine. Plus I'm not having such issues with other
apps.

Developers of the game are unable to help and they suggest the below:

There's a few other things you can try:

• Go into the settings on your phone, and look for anything relating to "privileges" or "permissions"
  
• Perhaps try turning off any Parent locks or child locks that may be restricting access to the Sims
  
• If you have access to your Xbox Account, try going into the settings and looking for the Sims. See if the game is restricted with privileges or access in any way.
  

Unfortunately our knowledge is very limited with Windows phones, so this is unfortunately the extent of information I can give. I would recommend doing some Googling in order to find out how to access these settings.

I would also recommend contacting Windows Support for your Phone, as this may be something they could assist you with.

Don't have any restrictions or child locks. My gut feeling is that the game is not fully suported for Win Phone and I won't be able to play it again.

Sims Freeplay

When I go to my Sims Freeplay it tells me to go to my games hub to sign in but when i try to sign in I get an error code 0x8086000c. Can any one help fix this?

 

Windows Phone achievements not appearing in Xbox app

same here.

Sims freeplay and Doodle God achievements seems broken...

I did them hardly.. so sad.

 

i don't see why or how the game wouldn't be "fully supported". i'm downloading it now just to check. can you say what model of phone and version of the OS you are using?

one thing to check, not mentioned above, is that the time and date is set correctly, as that can sometimes cause issues when connecting to some services.

most likely fully resetting your phone to factory settings would fix it, but that's a hassle if you have a lot of stuff already on there, and takes some to get everything restored back. if you have games that are no longer available on the marketplace,
you may not be able to redownload them at all. usually that's a last resort, but maybe it's not a big deal for you.

ok the game finished installing on my phone with no problems. i have a cheap Lumia 635 ($30 new) running WP10 (insider preview build 14905). the game loaded just fine when i started it, so i don't think there's any compatibility issue.

let us know about your phone and i'll try to think about what other options you may have in the meantime. got to go for now.
