Significant frame drops in FIFA 23 for Xbox Series S

Thank you, but there's a problem - when I go to the devices and connections settings, there's no such option as "blu-ray", neither "disc". There's 5 options, none of which show "persistent storage" option when I enter them. I'm on Xbox Series S if this helps. I did find some game files connected to the profiles on the console in the game files, but I doubt that those are cache files, plus I'd rather not delete them as I already made some progress in game. Not sure what to do next

From what I understand it could be a problem in the game because of some update. Make sure you don't have any updates available for both the game and the console. you can be too clearing the console cache. It helps with some problems

Press the Xbox button on the controller.
Go to your profile icon and select “Settings”.
Select "Devices and Connections", then "Blu-ray".
Select "Persistent Storage".
Select "Clear Persistent Storage". (Note) Clearing the cache removes all game updates already downloaded. You will need to download these updates again the next time you play the game.

I MIGHT have found a problem and the solution, and it's not at all what you would think. I had my Xbox stacked on top of another one (my previous Xbox One), when i took it off I had no frame drops during the whole game. I will delete this post shortly after confirming this was the issue, so in conclusion - the only problem here was my stupidity

please put your hand over top of the vent, and make sure you feel hot air coming out like it's being blown by a fan

There is no Blu-ray drive on a series S, which is why you can't find it. His suggestions would do you no good if it did have one

Please don't delete it, leave it for others to learn from
