Sign in on laptop

Would you please elaborate more on your issue?

Just so that I understand you have 2 MS accounts one on your Xbox and one on your laptop.

You sign in on your laptop with your laptop account and pull up the Xbox app and it automatically signs you in to your laptop account on the xbox app?

There is no way to stop the automatic sign in on your laptop with your laptop MS account. You can however once you bring the app up change what account you are signed into by

Right clicking on your profile pic in the upper right corner of the app and going to sign out this will bring a box up a sign in button when you click on that it will then bring up a box wanting you to sign in with your current account signed into your
laptop under your email at the top there is a link that says Not you? you can click on that and sign into your xbox account unless you add your Xbox account to your laptop and change switch to that account when you want to use the xbox app you will have to
go through the steps of signing into your xbox account in the steps above.

I agree that you will need to sign out of your original laptop before installing and playing on your new laptop.

My xbox is not letting me sign in to xbox live but i can sign in on my laptop why is that?

Also is there anything preventing you from taking the Ethernet cable from the laptop and plugging it into the Xbox or do you have to "sign in" on the laptop to get a connection, if so do you only sign in once and that's it or each time you want to connect
