I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you I did an internal search on the Microsoft forum and found a publication by Gerardo C., an independent advisor, where he mentions a method that resolves that error code and the screen in y I thought it was good information, which you should take into account:

First of all, please check if it gives you a signal and if it allows you to access the Xbox troubleshooting screen as follows:

1. Make sure the console does not have any game disc inside, if so please take it out before continuing with the rest of the process.

2. Turn off the console and unplug the power cord for 30 seconds to make sure the console is completely off, then plug it back in but don't turn it on yet.

3. Press and hold the Pair and Eject buttons on your console, then press the power button on your console once while still holding down the Pair and Eject buttons.

4. Press and hold the Pair and Eject buttons for 10 to 15 seconds until you hear the console power-on tone again, once you hear it you can release the buttons.

5. The console should turn on and display the Xbox startup troubleshooter on the screen.

6. If you are able to successfully access the troubleshooter screen then try resetting the console to its factory settings keeping your games and applications, to do this please select "Reset this Xbox". When prompted, select the Keep games and apps option. This option will reset the operating system and delete all data that may be corrupted and causing the problem, without deleting your applications or games.

7. Check if the problem persists after doing all the above.

Well I appreciate the help, except your response would be the soft reset I’m referring to in my initial post. I have already reset my Xbox to factory settings. As I said in the initial post, it fixes the issue for the initial login, and then goes right back to the error any time you attempt to login after turning off the Xbox.

Seeing as I don’t want to spend 30 minutes every time I log in to reset my Xbox to factory settings, along with resetting all my display settings and other preferences, then surely there must be a more permanent solution.

It seems pretty useless that this forum is comprised entirely of customers and there’s no official representatives to be found. They expect the community to just throw **** at the wall when things go wrong and see what sticks? Well, it’s not working very well. I see posters with my issue dating back to 2016 in Google searches. Nearly a decade and still no solutions to a basic login issue? Seems pretty pathetic on Microsoft’s part.

Regardless I appreciate your attempt. But frankly, I don’t see us solving this issue if others haven’t gotten it solved in 8 years.

I'm sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with your console.

Doing a soft factory reset on your console should take care of this issue.

To do this:

- Turn your console off.

- Unplug all external storage units from the console's USB ports.

- Turn your console on.

- Go to Settings > System > Console Info > Reset console > Keep games and apps.

Just keep in mind you will need an internet connection and your account details (email and password) to complete this process.

*** Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and Xbox Live services, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.
