    Sidewinder drivers


    I purchased an xbox 360 with with the 360 steering wheel and pedals on ebay and it worked fine, until one of the pedals broke. I decided to buy a used sidewinder precision steering wheel and pedals. It won't install. It doesn't do anything. Where and how
    do you get the installation disc. or software that will install and enable me to use the sidewinder. Please.

    Question about the Sidewinder FF joystick and steering wheel.

    Im not sure if anyone has tried them on an Xbox. The Sidewinder devices were meant for the PC. They are older devices. Its very unfortunate that Microsoft didnt continue to support thr drivers for them.

    Apparently they only cared about selling them, not about long term customer satisfaction. It couldnt have taken that much effort to continue driver support for them.

    Its really a shame because the Sidewinder FF Joystick and Steering wheel are considered by many to be the best ever.

    Sidewinder is indeed a PC peripheral and will not work with Xbox at all as it lacks the security chips, and the drivers to support it have to be built into the games.

    Im afraid it is no longer supported and out of warranty. Best of luck fixing it and finding it a new home.

    XAC doesn't work with my Sidewinder 92626 joysticks

    It appears that the Sidewinder "92626" is not a HID compliant Joystick. It was an update to an old Gameport standard joystick, and the USB was just a conversion from the gameport protocol, which required specific drivers.

    The XAC requires HID compliant joysticks, I am sorry.

    You don't download ms software for 3rd party controllers either they use custom controller drivers or software which case you need to visit pdp

    Or use the generic windows gamepad drivers without full support

    Accessories software is for ms accessories like wireless headset , adaptive or elite or regular controller or ms sidewinder joysticks
