    I think Valve would release Half Life Alyx on Series X if Microsoft allows PC VR headsets to work on Series X.

    It would cost me 2 grand to build a PC capable of running Half Life Alyx at Ultra settings. Its honestly the greatest game Ive ever played even though I am playing it at low settings due to my gaming PC being two years old.

    The Series X is capable of running Alyx at Ultra settings. Valve is open to releasing Half Life games on consoles (The Orange Box and Left4Dead are best sellers on consoles). It wouldnt take much for Series X to support Oculus, Vive and Windows Mixed Reality
    VR Headsets.

    The PS5 and PSVR2 will get Half Life Alyx but most likely running on medium settings. I will get a PS5 for this reason unless Xbox gets the game as well. The Series X would allow me to play the game at Ultra settings.

    Thanks to Alyx’s success, Half Life 3 being a VR game is all but certain, and it may well be the biggest game of the generation. Microsoft will be missing out on two system sellers (and probably many others) if they sit on the sidelines for too long as they
    did with touch screen smartphones and tablets.

    Even though VR is only just starting to go mainstream, VR is the future of immersive gaming. Casual gaming will occur on handhelds. But AAA will transition to VR this coming generation.

    I don't think it's a bad idea for them to do this because there would 100% be people who would love this to happen.

    They should, I know there arent many great games or development on the Vr but this is the future.

    I would 100% be happy with this decision. Adding a VR, in my opinion, would have Xbox being on the same level as PS if not a better console.

    To be honest VR has never really appealed to me but I get that it appeals to a lot of people. I think down the road the Series X will support VR, just not at launch. Even if Xbox got VR support and in turn Half Life Alyx, I dont think that would be a "system
    seller" though.

    Also, not sure I agree that AAA games will transition to VR. I'm sure there will be more AAA games developed for the medium, but I dont believe that will be the only place to play AAA games by the end of the coming generation. There would need to be a massive
    adoption of VR in a short period of time by consumers around the world and I dont see that happening personally. Just my opinion.

    Absolutely 100% yes. All they need to do is allow 3rd party support at the very least.
