    Should I keep my Xbox connected to wall socket even after I turn the Xbox off ???


    Hello I have a series s . Should I keep thexbox connected to wall socket even after I turned the xbox off. Completely or should I take out the plug???I hear very light hum sound from the exhaust of series s after turning the Xbox completely off . The sound stops only when the turn off the switch of the socket connected to the Xbox. Is this normal ??

    Your Xbox might be set to instant on/standby. If it is, then changing it to power saving mode will get the Xbox to turn off, then you will be able to turn off at the wall and pull the plug if you wish. Just bear in mind, the Xbox will turn off only if it has no background tasks to do, e.g. downloading updates, games, apps, etc, etc.

    The console is likely installing updates, and runs the fan while doing so. It's really not anything to worry about

    Yes, I tried those steps but my problem is that my when I connect the power supply to the wall socket the led turns on but at the moment I connect it to the Xbox One, the power supply led turns off.

    Check if all cables are connected (when xbox console is turned off and detached from wall socket)

    If everything is checked, start the xbox. if this doesn't work.

    Call XBOX support, they should be able to help.

    No I do not have an external hardrive, I also tried plugging it directly in the wall socket and even use a new plug. All it does is turn on the xbox light for about a minute then turn off. there no screen on the tv nor will it connect with the controller.
