Shenmue I & II launcher problems

Hi, I've installed Shenmue and I cant progress past the launcher, when I click on the launcher to start the game it just restarts the launcher every time.

I've already tried reinstalling it and I've read the troubleshooter but still no joy.

Some folk on Steam have had the same problem but I can't use those fixes as these game files are encrypted or something.

It's kind of ridiculous that I can't even try clicking on the .exe file in the game folder.

Has anyone found a workaround for this?

Hi, I've tried the clean boot but it didn't make any difference and I still cant progress past the launcher.

Are there any more suggestions for me to try?

I've got the exact same problem. And my friends have the exact same problem.

The Shenmue Launcher isn't working on the Xbox Beta app'.

I tried a Clean boot. It's not working.

The issue has Nothing to do with our computers.

Please fix it.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that Shenmue I & II is failing to launch on your Windows 10 computer. We recommend making sure that

Windows 10 is up to date. Also, you can try performing
a clean boot. A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs,
so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program. Be sure to let us know the results!

Shenmue and Shenmue II come out in a couple of days. I'm gonna give them a playthrough. They are pretty old school if that's your thing.
