Hello Binder1,

If you Xbox isn't connecting to your wireless internet; you may be able to finish the setup by connecting a Ethernet cable to your computer and sharing a signal.

To enable Internet Connection Sharing in Windows 10, please follow the steps below:

Press Windows key + X to open the Power User menu and select
Network Connections.

Right-click the network adapter with an Internet connection (Ethernet or wireless network adapter), then select
Properties.

Click Sharing.

Put a check mark on Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection.

From the Home networking connection drop-down menu, select the
Microsoft Hosted Virtual Adapter.

Click OK to finish.

Belkin: New Xbox one S

Belkin (Routers): New Xbox one S
Added MAC address to router. Cannot connect xbox one s to internet for initial setup. Xbox lists correct router, password is correct yet will not connect through wireless. Wired connection to router failed as well. Contacted ISP, suggests contacting Microsoft

I would try factory reset keeping games and apps first.

You didn't mention if your using wired or wireless to connect to your network hardware.

If possible do the factory reset and setup of console with a wired connection to eliminate the possibility of wireless interference while completing the initial setup.

If the setup and update completes successfully online and you get to the Home screen you wont need to do the OSU.

Do you have your console connected wired or wireless on your network. If you're wireless it's possible that your connection is too slow and is causing issue, if you can try, please give a wired connection a go while setting up your Xbox One, this may help with
the initial setup.

Sorry to hear you're having an issue connecting to your routers.

You can manually select the wireless that your console connects to. Steps for that are listed here:

Let us know how that goes. If you are still having an issue connecting to that stronger router, please create a new thread detailing the situation. This thread is over 5 months old.

It has always been a requirement of the Xbox One that a connection is required to complete the initial setup, after that you can take the console Offline.

If you don't want that, they you will need a different system.
