Sharing Gamepass Ultimate Subscription with other users on the same Xbox

Hello,

I have an Xbox Series X and Gamepass Ultimate, I would like to share this subscription with other users on the console which I've read is possible but it isn't working.

Account A (Mine) has the console set as the home console and has the subscription. Account B is a child account, account C is another adult.

Both account A and C require a passcode to sign in. Neither Account B or C seem to be able to access the gamepass and no gamepass icon shows in the corner. I don't want to also have my account logged in at the same time.

Account B (Childs) is under my account though family setup.

Why isn't the subscription sharing?

Are they able to play the games you've downloaded? Are they able to play online?

They won't show the icon in the corner since they don't have a subscription on their accounts.

Thanks, to be honest I thought this may have been an issue with the shared subscription. That when a user has the Gold that comes with Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Gamepass Ultimate, that when one user attempts to play online, then another user sharing that same subscription tries to play online with the same person is causes subscription authentication issues perhaps. So if you don't have live gold that comes with Xbox Gamepass Ultimate or just Gamepass which does not come with gold, it is trying to use your friend's subscription verification on your account while they are already using it.

However, if you both have access to Xbox live gold then that probably isn't happening. Could you clarify if you have just Gamepass or Xbox GamePass Ultimate?

Which gamepass are you talking about

Gamepass for PC OR gamepass standard

If you are using gamepass for pc for access to Minecraft on pc and using the same account on console To share then no

As gamepass for pc wont work on console

You need gamepass standard or ultimate for console

If you want to share a subscription for both pc and console you need ultimate which includes bothpc and console titles

Another solution since pc doesn't need a subscription other then realms

Is buy Minecraft on pc and keep realms on your profile and buy gamepass standard for minecraft access on console or buy core and Minecraft

Currently there is no way to share Gamepass Ultimate PC with others in the same way that you can on console.

Adding someone to the "family" doesn't give them access to anything. The only way to share GPU is to have the account with the subscription sign in to whichever console you wish to share to.

But my brothers account is in the Microsoft family and that's how he gets Gamepass Ultimate. We don't use the home Xbox function to share Gamepass with each other.
