Shared/Split Screen PVP (Gears 5/Steam)

Hi,

According to the Steam page for Gears 5 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1097840/Gears_5/), the list of features includes Shared/Split Screen PVP. However, my friend and I were having trouble finding a way to start a versus game. What do we have to do
to fight each other in game? I asked on the Steam forums but did not get any response, so I am trying here too.

Hi, honestly I don't use steam, but as stated here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1097840/discussions/0/2952595757883806788/ your
friend on steam should have teh xbox game bar with an xbox live account and you must be friends, then you can simply add him in your party like other xbox players (you should see him in-game in the "social" tab)

According the official Gears support site the only mode with split-screen on PC is Campaign, which supports 1-3 players.

Split screen...blegh! I bought my missus her own screen, so there's no shared screen time/space.
