Setup my new xbox series x and now have no video

Please try to do the following steps to check your connections:

-Confirm that both your TV and console are turned on
-Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI)
-Check that the HDMI cable connections to your console and to your TV are secure
-Confirm that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console
-Plug the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV
-Use a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV
-Connect your console to a different TV
-Power cycle your console by pressing and holding the Power button for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turning it on again

If it still doesn't work, please reset the display settings:

-On the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

-Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second -beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

- In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480).
To change this setting, press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution that you want from the options under Display. For more info, go to the article "How to change the TV display settings on your Xbox".

- If you’re required to complete these steps on every startup, change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 of the section below, "Your screen is blank, and you use an AVR in your setup."

On the video, Xbox Series X has USB type A only.

The new controller, I think is type-A (Xbox Series X) to type-c (controller). (Elite2 is a to c usb)

I cannot understand why Microsoft does not detail if or not the Xbox series X will support ultra widescreen monitors.

Microsoft has already started pre-orders. There are now videos of people that have been sent an Xbox series X for PR purposes. It appears they are only allowed to talk about certain features, and ultra widescreen is not one of them. All the videos I have
recently watched have discussed the same features.

I would like to purchase a new monitor, and am waiting for this information.

I now have a new xbox series x that can download msfs2020 and it works perfectly fine with my hotas.

Yep. I have both my daughters using my old Xbox One X (which is setup as my home console) while I play on my Series X. Works a treat.
