Setting up Xbox one chatpad on Windows 10

Found the *sort of* answer to this.

I went to a buddys place and used his xbox one to re-rerun the firmware update for my elite controller. After doing that update, the chatpad started working. The Xbox One accessories app works with it in windows 10. Windows 10 does not have support for re-mapping
chatpad keys.

Alright, found the issue. The chatpad does not function during a remote desktop session. I would assume because the 'Remote Desktop Keyboard Device' takes some type of priority as input. I must admit it's quite easy to put the blame on a new Windows update,
especially since most the developers for Windows seem to be purposely breaking things just to keep busy

Hi, I believe the Bluetooth capability is intended to connect the controller to your PC using Bluetooth.

I have the exact same problem, the xbox one controller totally disables keyboard input in games. Just yesterday I was able to play with the controller using the chatpad for keyboard shortcuts, today I come to find Windows 10 had an update and now I can't
use either the chatpad or the keyboard in the games with controller support.

I'm sorry to hear about the controller issues. Are you able to try your controller/chatpad on a different Windows 10 PC? And/or with a different Xbox One controller on your PC? And have you made sure that your controller is fully updated, with the chatpad
in for the update? As well as making sure your PC is fully updated?

What game are you trying to use the controller/chatpad in?

A bit more information will help us out.

It doesn't work on another PC I tried it on, and it doesn't work with any controller when connected to a PC. I've tried it in Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition as well as regular desktop applications, because it used to work fine in those situations.

The Chatpad doesn't even light up when connected.
